enjoy the joy to appreciate something beautiful in Taipei Fine Art Museum

Taipei Fine Art Museum is the most important modern art gallery in Taipei. Maybe it’s also a tragedy here. Some great art works have been exhibited here. But most time there are only few things were worth to visit.

However, TFAM still is the most-be place for people in Taipei. In the specific time, it still hold some wonderful exhibition and bring the real different thought to people. Like “ONEDOTZERO Taipei” in 2002, or “Il design in Italia” and “Do You Believe in Reality?” in 2004. those great exhibition only could be hold in TFAM. but the exhibition seem to be less and less recently. I wish the people who is in charge of Taipei Fine Art Museum could do better in the exhibition.

Perhaps Taipei is just a poor market for fine art. people in Taipei, or Taiwan, don’t respect art work enough. Even me is a robber for shooting art work. And the education for art doesn’t complete for the children. people are hard to enjoy the joy to appreciate something beautiful. That sounds like the museum’s duty. However it’s also the duty for us.

Art shouldn’t be only a specific entertainment for specific person.

Next to the TFAM is the Taipei Art Park. Full of green and easy to relax. The jets fly in sky of Art Park. It’s a feature of it. I like to laid down on the grass, watch the sky, and imagine the jet could take me away.

Only the music could be tolerated in Formoz 2005

in the end of July, The Formoz Festival comes around again. it’s my first time to take part in this event. the greatest music event in Taiwan.

unusual hot and wet, the weather made people more impatient. Only the music could be tolerated in Formoz 2005. I came it alone for three days. the photo I took seems to be more than the music I heard. I swung my body with the rhythm, meet a lot of friends who came from other country, and feel something from their music. it’s a amazing experiment. I deeply wish I could see them again soon, maybe in the Formoz 2006 ? maybe more.

Taipei is a city which could be read in 24 hours.

Taipei is a city which could be read in 24 hours.

there are many cities in Taiwan, all of them are special and amusing.
Kaohsiung is always full of energy to change; Tainan is the connection with the history of Taiwan.;
Taichung seems to be much more friendly than other cities…

However, I still love Taipei more than others. Not only because I live here, but also because I need to be here to get something unique.

any time, it’s always something funny in next corner, and any kind of desire could be satisfied in Taipei. You always can find your treasure if you try.

Taipei is complicated. People living in Taipei care themselves more than others. You can never tell what is the purpose of their acts. Maybe even themselves couldn’t, either. They don’t share the real them, even the simplest part. Sometimes I feel sad to be here, it’s cruel, and easily make me feel alone. Looking at the people cross the street, sitting next to me… so close, but so faraway.

However, the situation make it easier to build my own space and my own story. Just walk on the street, do some shopping, read some books, listen the music you never listen before, you will get the new motive to forward…I think that the best reason to live here. Taipei is full of material to make myself different. Taipei, a city which could be read in 24 hours.

my name is kidult.
kidult = kid + adult.
I usually think in a kid’s way, but I live in the adult’s life.
the world is complicated, sometimes it really made me depress.
I tried to be stronger, but I also hope I can keep the mind of kid.

more than stranger

it's hard to write a blog in English.
but I believe it’s worth to try.
because it is so nice to meet people all over the world.
some of them are cute, and full of idea.
i want to make a connection with them, learn from them, share thinking with them.
in this complicated world, on the crowded internet, perhaps we are just another strangers.
but i believe if we try more sensitive, more friendly to each other.
we might be more than strangers.
we keep our own space and still could be thoughtful for each other.
i think it will be a wonderful relationship and worth to make it happen.
